Our History

Heidi Anderson's love of photography started in Maui many years ago and was developed in the Bay Area, where she studied at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. While the Academy of Art was great training ground, an opportunity came in 1995, when she was selected as an assistant to nationally renowned children's photographer, Julie Floyd of Classic Kids. Julie's unique style and her willingness to train and teach an eager young photographer, proved to be just the kind of experience and inspiration that would lay a great foundation. In 1997, Heidi was ready to take on more responsibility and helped open the second Classic Kids studio in Los Gatos, California.


For the next five years, Heidi managed a successful Classic Kids studio and developed a very loyal and outstanding clientele. Despite doing what she loves and living her dream of managing a studio, Heidi was determined to return to Hawaii where her love of photography first began.

Our Vision

In February of 2002 that dream came true, as Heidi and her family moved back to Hawaii and started Keiki Photography.

At Keiki Photography, we create black and white and hand-painted portraits of your keiki and ohana. We maintain the highest quality and care in every step of this creative process. All photos are hand printed on archival fiber paper. This fine paper gives the finished portraits a warm appearance, with excellent tonal range and great detail.

It is our hope and vision that you allow our work to add to the many memories of your keiki, your ohana, and Hawaii.
